Weve been living off the grid for one year and started with nothing but a completely blank piece of land. In one year, weve had to rent heavy machinery and construction equipment three times, and well have to rent equipment much more in the future for the construction of our home, installation of our water system as well as for other various tasks around the homestead. It occurred to us that not everybody knows what its like to run construction equipment, so we decided to make a video sharing what weve learned! It IS possible for your average Joe to run heavy machinery as we are doing. From picking up the construction equipment as a rental to running the equipment on your land, well share some great insight if youre new to equipment or just want to hear about it from the perspective of newbies!\r
