Hi Guys and Gals I have finally received this loco I have been excited ever since I found it on ebay so great to have it arrive! I know it has been available on amazon and a few other sites for a while but not on ebay so yes review on!\r

Belle is a blue tank engine with the special task of being a fire fighting locomotive (they must get allot of fires near the line :P), In this package Belle comes with 2 tank cars one is definitely water the other is perhaps a fire fighting foam or similar. Belle has smaller water cannons that the Trackmaster version and they are hardly movable at all, Tomy Belle has more detail in some areas that the trackmaster version but less detail in other areas (although for me working side rods are better than fake detailed ones every day of the week).\r

This Tomy Belle runs on a single AA battery and has the tried and true original Thomas type drive unit which in the race is much much faster than the Trackmaster version perfect for racing to the fire! The shell is removed completely to access the batter compartment and the shell is held on by a screw at the rear underside of the engine. This is a very fast and quiet running engine. Trackmaster version is just the opposite being slow and steady and quite noisy. \r

TOMY Belle did not perform well on the turntable it could be because it is so fast and had badly slipping wheels, the size of the TOMY version is slightly larger than the trackmaster version having almost 10mm extra length but the same overall height, there are other changes too like the shape of the roof and the height of the boiler, the faces are the same though. This engine looks suspiciously like Arthur.\r

I cant really fault this engine as it performed well and came with nice tank cars the only thing i will complain about is the price at around $40 but thats just because its still reasonably new I give this engine a 9/10 due to price, the water cannons and the turntable issue (not fair i know).\r
