Hi Guys and Gals! Here we have the new Trackmaster Stepney, I bought a pair of these a couple of months ago in the hopes of reviewing one and modifying the other so here finally is the review!\r
\r
This is a weird train as its in quite an older type of packaging for being such a new version but as always who knows what Trackmaster will do with their packaging there has been a new type of packaging almost every year for the last few years.\r
\r
This Stepney looked rather decent at first but when I (and you) had a closer look there were some glaring imperfections staring us in the face! The side stickers are a little skewed and the color is a little different but these are normal minor things, the cab window sticker is too far to one side and not straight so this ruins the look of the loco from the front and the face appears to be fitted poorly too. There is some white paint overspray on the front of the cab too.\r
\r
The troublesome truck it comes with is perfect and I dont know if its possible to get one wrong as they are super simple but they sure do look great!\r
\r
Stepney retains his original type of drive unit a trusty original Thomas type as I call it and it runs on a single AA battery, a very quiet runner this one is and he can pull a train with no problems even the naughty troublesome tankers! He had no problems with the usual tests I perform like the turntable and the train hillclimb outside knapford station.\r
\r
So in conclusion a good addition to your collection if you dont already have a Stepney but I do not like the holes in the wheels which were not even used to hold the loco in this type of packaging.\r
\r
I give this Stepney an 7/10 due to poor sticker placement and bad paint in places. The good running of this loco stopped the score from dropping lower though just very smooth and good pulling power.\r

Thanks for watching!
