Could this be a $100,000 Penny? 1969-S Doubled Die Obverse Lincoln Cent found in COIN ROLL while coin roll hunting!\r
Could this 1969-S penny be a true DOUBLED DIE? or possibly a close cousin known as a mechanical strike?\r

I hope this video gives you enough detail to help me determine just what to call this unique 1969 S penny that clearly has a double profile and date WITHOUT a doubled mint mark.\r

It has been tough finding out reliable information regarding doubled die pennies from the places I have been calling or websites I have been reading. I understand that a double mint mark is a sign of a fake DD penny and that On a machine-doubled coin, the mint mark will be doubled, (taken from pcgs text below), and that being said, the mm on my penny is not doubled so how can it be a mechanical doubled coin? would seem like it couldnt be.\r

A true 1969-S Doubled Die Obverse cent will not have doubling on the mint mark as the mint mark was punched into the die separately. On a machine-doubled coin, the mint mark will be doubled along with most or all of the legends and devices.\r

I have found no evidence that states a true doubled die penny MUST have the text doubled, on the contrary I have read it MUST not have a doubled mintmark. I have found nothing related to the profile doubling except for the 2004 double ear penny. If you can have a true doubled ear and only a doubled ear, then why would the text have to be doubled to be real ddo? Seems like it wouldnt have to be.\r

Any help on this 1969 S penny found in circulation would be very helpful. Although I wish this to be a true 1969 S DDO penny, I am in no way clouding my judgement with emotion over it lol I just want to know what I found coin roll hunting :)\r
