Ahhh, thats a heady mix of slobber, mud and ash...looks good on the truck doesnt it? This is just a quick update video on some of the upgrades weve been working on on the Traxxas X MAXX. Weve added the stainless steel screw set from RC SCREWZ, the 3 inch lightbar from Rigid Industries and The dual fan heat sink from Kershaw designs. The heat sink does not come with an inner channel like the stock heatsink for the temperature sensor that comes on the X MAXX. Thats annoying because you have to find a new way to mount your temperature sensor. The stainless steel screw set is a must because I already found rusted screws in the X MAXX. There are deep wells to the left and right of the motor and ESC where screws are located that hold the chassis together. All of those screws showed signs of rusting as well as the screws up underneath of the front steering assembly. I think Traxxas should at the very least put a rubber stopper in the tops of those wells so that they are not able to fill up with water, but for $800 for a base model, they could put some decent screws in there. I have not had any issues with the motor or ESC overheating like some other unfortunate people have had, but I added the dual fans just to be safe because its winter time right now and it gets hot here in the summer. More videos to come. Happy RCing!!
