Easy lasagna with ground beef and ricotta cheese\r

Ingredients \r
For the meat sauce: \r
1-2 Tbsp olive oil \r
1 lb ground beef( can substitute w/ Italian sausage)\r
1 medium onion, chopped \r
3 garlic cloves, minced\r
Salt and pepper, to taste\r
1(28oz) crushed tomatoes \r
1 Tbsp Italian seasoning \r
9 lasagna noodles, cooked\r

For the cheese mixture;\r
1(15oz) container whole milk ricotta \r
1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese \r
1-2 Tbsp fresh chopped parsley \r
3-1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided \r
Salt and pepper, to taste \r
1 egg\r

Instructions:\r
1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Heat oil in a pot over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Strain excess grease. Add onion, garlic salt and pepper, and cook for 3-5 minutes. Stir in crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning and season with salt and pepper. Mix until well combined, cover and simmer on low heat while you prepare the cheese mixture.\r

2. In a large bowl, combine ricotta, parmesan cheese, parsley, 1/2 cup mozzarella, salt and pepper, and egg. Mix until well blended.\r

3. Spread about 1 cup meat sauce onto the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish; top with 3 lasagna noodles, spread 1/2 of the ricotta cheese mixture and sprinkle 1 cup mozzarella cheese. Repeat with a second layer. Top with remaining noodles, meat sauce mixture, 1 cup mozzarella cheese and grate more parmesan on top.\r

4. Bake for 35-40 minutes. After it bakes allow to cool for 10-15 minutes.
