Ukraine claims more than 50 elderly people in a nursing home suffered a "horrific genocide" after Russian tanks opened fire on buildings.

Ukrainian human rights monitor Lyudmyla Denisova made claims that could not be independently verified in a report on her Telegram channel.



"Today, another horrific crime against humanity committed by the racist occupying forces is known - the crime committed by 56 elderly people in the Luhansk region," she wrote. "On March 11, in the city of Cremina, Russian occupiers cynically and deliberately fired on tanks in a nursing home."

The claim comes after growing anger over Russian artillery and airstrikes on residential areas including schools and theatres
