Sahnewal police solve Shiva temple vandalisation case
The local police said they have solved an idol vandalisation case within 24 hours of its registration. A total of 14 idols of a Shiva temple, situated on the service lane of NH-1 between Pawa Khagat and Jugiana in Sahnewal, were vandalised on Monday night. A case under section 295-A had been registered at Sahnewal police station against unidentified suspect/s.
Sonu Kumar, a resident of Taligudam district Bihar and presently residing at Neelam da Vehra in Pawa Khagat, Sahnewal, has been nominated and arrested by the police in this regard. The iron rod used for the purpose was recovered from his custody.

Addressing a press conference, Assistant Commissioner Police South Guriqbal Singh, Sahnewal SHO Guljinderpal Singh and Giaspura Chowki incharge Dharminder Singh said that under the command of Commissioner of Police (CP) Kuldeep Singh Chahal, JCP Jaskiranjit Singh Teja, Ludhiana Deputy Commissioner Police Zone 2 Dev Singh, Sahnewal police with the assistance of CIA-3 Ludhiana, solved the case within 24 hours.
