Serge Gnabry (born 14 July 1995) is a German footballer who plays as a midfielder for Arsenal.

Gnabry was born in Stuttgart to a father from the Ivory Coast and a mother from Germany. He was a sprinter but was forced to choose between football and athletics.

Gnabry's former club VfB Stuttgart agreed a £100,000 deal with Premier League side Arsenal F.C. in 2010 but he had to wait until 2011, when he was 16, to join the English side.[3][4] Gnabry officially joined Arsenal for the 2011–12 season in which he played for the under-18s for the majority of the season but after impressing in the U18s Gnabry was then promoted to the Reserves.[5] At the end of the season Gnabry played in six reserve matches and scored two goals.[5] The 2012–13 started off well for Gnabry after he was called up to the Arsenal first team for a pre-season friendly against FC Köln in which he played 24 minutes in coming on at halftime only to be replaced by Marouane Chamakh in the 69th minute.[6] Gnabry then made his professional first-team debut for Arsenal on 26 September 2012 against Coventry City in the League Cup in which he came on in the 72nd minute for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as Arsenal routed Coventry 6–1.[7] On 20 October 2012 he made his Premier League debut in the 1-0 defeat against Norwich City in Carrow Road, becoming Arsenal's third youngest player in the league's history, after Jack Wilshere and Cesc Fàbregas. Four days later he made his Champions League debut, coming on as a substitute in Arsenal's 2-0 home loss to FC Schalke 04.

He has represented Germany at Under 16 and Under 17 levels.
