Dec. 31 - At least six small bombs blew up in the Thai capital, killing two people and wounding more than 20.

Authorities wasted no time in cancelling the main New Year countdown celebrations in Bangkok.

No group has claimed it planted the bombs, which went off in the space of an hour at six different sites.
