The thing that really bothers me is the fact that this man dedicated 35 YEARS to a corporation, (GENERAL MOTORS), and planned his life to work hard and retire some day. This man not only worked for General Motors for 35 years but also bought ONLY GM products. He retired 4 years ago and was collecting a pension, WHICH I FEEL HE WAS ENTITLED TOO AFTER 35 YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE, only to have it ripped out from underneath him and forced to go back to work! This man is 71...he planned his life and was counting on GM to do right by him. I feel that Corporations who file bankruptcy should be forced to honor there commitments and if that means liquidating EVERYTHING in order to make good on a pension then dam it that is the way it should be! I feel GM's bankruptcy was orchestrated and was planned out over a time frame by top executives in order to get out from under pensions not because they were causing this company to fail but too benefit Corporate greed! Give me a break people, why do we put up with this in this country? -
